About the Role

The employee communicates with Waste Management drivers to resolve on‑route problems for residential, commercial, and roll‑off services. They handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, and use Waste Management’s proprietary software to manage same‑day ticket routing and prepare next‑day routes. Key duties focus on routing: collaborating with sites and the service department to optimize routes, dispatching drivers based on customer needs, driver location, and load, and determining daily staffing levels for optimal responsiveness and productivity. The role assigns routes and service tickets throughout the day, handles incoming calls and emails, communicates with customers while drivers are on site, and troubleshoots delivery or pick‑up issues before they become service problems. What You Bring

This is a remote position that includes virtual training. Logistics and routing experience are a plus, and strong computer and communication skills are preferred. The role follows a morning shift starting at 8 am or 9 am, Monday through Friday. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of relevant experience working in a team environment. Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced setting, possess excellent organizational skills, and be proficient with multiple computer programs. Effective professional communication via email, telephone, and two‑way devices and a willingness to learn Waste Management’s software are required.
