About the Role
Field Supervisors direct field operations, ensure projects stay on schedule, and manage labor budgets, including any specialty department work. They supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and subcontractors on the jobsite to drive projects to successful completion, while fostering positive relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. In site management, supervisors plan and schedule projects using short‑interval schedules, allocate manpower, and develop working budgets based on estimates. They control job progress by managing subcontractors, resolving problems, and applying proper documentation, quality control, and safety techniques. Weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs helps keep project expenses aligned with profitability goals. People management focuses on client satisfaction by recognizing and meeting client needs, and providing leadership through team building, communication, motivation, and sound judgment. What You Bring
The role prefers a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Management, or a related field from an accredited university. Candidates should have 5‑10 years of experience managing commercial construction activities in the field, especially in higher education, K-12, or industrial markets, and be willing to travel within the state. The target salary is $130,000, with final compensation dependent on location, experience, licensure, and other factors. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management (preferred) and 5‑10 years of commercial field management experience. • Experience in higher education, K‑12, or industrial markets; willing to travel within the state.
