About the Role
The Project Surveyor will lead and coordinate surveying activities, ensuring accurate boundary determinations and quality control of deliverables. The role involves supporting staff, overseeing field and office work, and managing project plans. • Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis for accurate property line locations. • Perform quality control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents for accuracy and completeness. • Assist staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents. • Organize and coordinate field and office staff to complete design, field, and other tasks on complex projects. • Prepare project/task work plans and provide direction to staff to achieve project objectives. • Monitor work efforts of assigned staff, sub‑consultants, and contractors, including supervision of Survey Technicians.

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our Surveying team in our Toledo offices! Colliers Engineering & Design’s survey professionals have the expertise to achieve highly accurate results while maintaining quality control over data collected, from field to office, and precision of the final client deliverables. Whether the project calls for administering conventional surveying methods, cutting‑edge geospatial scanning techniques or a combination of both, our professionally licensed land surveyors, highly‑trained office technicians and field crews work seamlessly together to provide the most responsive and consistent professional survey services available. Implementing the right approach for each project is what makes the difference and ensures our clients they are receiving the most accurate surveying and measurement services. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or equivalent technical experience preferred, and possess at least five years of surveying experience. A current Ohio PLS license, advanced skills in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, and proficiency with surveying instruments and measurement systems are required, along with a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screen. • Minimum high school diploma/GED; associate degree or equivalent technical experience preferred. • At least 5 years of related surveying experience. • Active Ohio Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license. • Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. • Strong knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, computations, angular and linear measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry. • Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record; ability to operate a motor vehicle. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job‑related communications. • Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screening.
