About the Role
This Opportunity provides leadership within a sector of the organization to ensure civil engineering subject matter expertise, technical deliverables, and infrastructure projects are executed to meet or exceed industry and company standards for design, safety, and functionality, while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your Impact includes offering proactive, strategic leadership for the civil engineering discipline, reviewing permit applications, design plans, contracts, and conducting construction inspections to ensure regulatory compliance, and overseeing large‑scale, complex projects by managing budgets, schedules, hours, expenses, and supervising subcontractors and staff. The role is responsible for business development and pipeline growth in the assigned geography, leading contract negotiations and stakeholder meetings, supporting long‑term strategy for civil engineering work across planning, design, consulting, and construction management, and ensuring profitable performance of projects. Key professional duties involve developing proposals and scope documents, interpreting data for sound engineering conclusions, mentoring staff, providing performance guidance, staying current with civil engineering techniques and software, and acting as a trusted advisor while adhering to WSP’s code of conduct and ethical standards. • Lead civil engineering discipline, setting strategic direction and ensuring high‑quality deliverables. • Review permit applications, design plans, contracts, and conduct construction inspections for compliance. • Manage large‑scale infrastructure projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, hours, expenses, and subcontractor performance. • Drive business development and pipeline growth for civil engineering services in the assigned region. • Lead contract negotiations, presentations, and stakeholder meetings. • Develop and maintain engineering certifications, accreditations, and value propositions. • Conduct client needs analyses, surveys, and risk assessments to align capabilities with project strategy. • Prepare proposals, scopes, pricing, and budget metrics while ensuring code compliance. • Mentor and coach staff, providing performance guidance and supporting professional development. • Stay current with civil engineering techniques, software, and industry best practices. • Uphold WSP’s code of conduct, health‑safety policies, and ethical use of company resources.

What You Bring
Who You Are: required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 12+ years of relevant experience, a professional engineering license, advanced proficiency in civil engineering principles, regulations, and design software, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules; a Master’s degree and experience managing multi‑project deliverables are preferred. • Required: Bachelor’s in Engineering, 12+ years experience, PE license, advanced proficiency in civil design software and regulations.
