Solution Architect - Windchill PLM

About the Role

In this role you will provide and review solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to architectural and development best practices. You will collaborate with the PLM Program team responsible for Windchill deployments to factories, as well as delivery and service operations teams. The position offers a unique opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive environment. Key responsibilities include contributing to the Windchill PLM roadmap, developing and maintaining a PLM architecture that supports business processes, and ensuring the architecture remains state‑of‑the‑art and compliant with internal and external technical standards. You will perform technical analysis of requirements, recommend solution concepts, coordinate interdependencies, and work with vendors, third‑party consultants, and internal teams to enforce best practices, security and compliance. • Contribute to the Windchill PLM roadmap content and maintenance. • Design and maintain PLM architecture aligned with business processes and roadmap. • Ensure system architecture stays state‑of‑the‑art and meets technical, security, and compliance standards. • Perform technical analysis of requirements and assess Windchill solutions. • Provide expert recommendations and coordinate interdependencies and technology choices. • Collaborate with vendors, third‑party consultants, and internal teams to enforce best practices and security. • Deliver technical impact analysis for infrastructure, upgrades, interfaces, and downstream systems.

What You Bring

You will also provide technical impact analysis for Windchill solutions, covering supporting infrastructure, client systems, future upgrades, functional requirements, interfaces and downstream systems. A strong analytical mindset, troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, and fluent spoken and written English are essential. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and brings 8‑10 years of PLM experience, including at least seven years with Windchill technology and a background in customization and integration. Experience with Windchill Webservices/REST API, Thingworx/Navigate, PDM/MPM Link, Options & Variants, CAD/WGM is a plus. • Minimum 8‑10 years of PLM experience with at least 7 years using Windchill and a customization/integration background. • Nice‑to‑have experience with Windchill Webservices/REST API, Thingworx/Navigate, PDM/MPM Link, Options & Variants, CAD/WGM. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills; fluent spoken and written English.
