About the Role
• Lead end‑to‑end cost management for hyperscale data‑center programs, aligning scope, budget and schedule. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using benchmarks and technical documentation. • Manage change control, review and negotiate change orders, and ensure commercial governance. • Oversee contractor and subcontractor pricing reviews, scope validation and procurement strategy development. • Integrate cost forecasts with project schedules by coordinating with scheduling teams. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and financial updates to stakeholders. • Serve as primary commercial liaison, maintaining strong client, vendor and consultant relationships. • Conduct cost risk analysis, scenario planning and market trend monitoring for escalation, labor and material pricing. • Drive cost optimization and value‑engineering initiatives to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set and track performance KPIs, deliver presentations to senior leadership and manage financial performance via BMS. • Identify and implement improvements to cost‑management processes, templates and tools; capture lessons learned. • Lead, mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high‑performance collaborative culture. • Act as brand ambassador, build market pipeline, pursue cross‑selling opportunities and support proposals/RFP responses. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
The firm is hiring an Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data‑center program. This client‑facing leadership role requires strategic direction, stakeholder influence and the ability to embed Turner & Townsend’s purpose and values, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the Seattle office and remote flexibility. • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred. • 8–12+ years of cost‑management or project‑controls experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects. • Proven client‑facing delivery experience in construction consultancy. • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, resilience requirements and campus‑scale infrastructure. • Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, Earned Value Management and procurement strategies. • Proficiency with CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera or similar cost‑management tools. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification highly desirable. • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities and organized multi‑tasking under pressure.

Benefits
