Design Process and Optimisation Manager

About the Role

The role sits within the Global Design and Construction (GDC) team’s Global Process and Optimisation (GPO) group, which develops and rolls out design‑focused processes and optimization initiatives for hyperscale construction projects. It also monitors design KPIs, supports product owners in defining and maintaining product information, and trains project teams on efficient delivery systems. Key responsibilities include building effective relationships with global stakeholders, managing communications with internal and external parties, applying risk‑management tools, and leading large‑scale, complex programs across multiple functional teams. The position also drives company‑wide process development, implements project controls, improves processes for hyperscale projects, provides training, and oversees resource management, including people and finances. • Develop and implement design processes for hyperscale construction projects. • Collaborate with product owners to define and maintain product information. • Train project teams on new systems and efficient delivery methods. • Build and maintain relationships with global internal and external stakeholders. • Communicate with local, global, and external consultants and customers. • Apply risk‑management tools and solve complex issues using lateral thinking. • Lead large‑scale programs, coordinating multiple functional teams. • Deliver company‑wide strategic process development and continuous improvement. • Manage resources, including people, finances, and external vendors.

What You Bring

Qualifications sought are 5+ years of experience in the data centre space, a diploma or bachelor’s degree in building services, architecture, mechanical or electrical disciplines, and preferably a Managing Successful Programs or similar certification. The role targets candidates who can navigate complex programs and contribute to strategic business cases. • 5+ years experience in data centre design or construction preferred. • Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in building services, architecture, mechanical, or electrical fields. • Program Management Foundation or PMP certification preferred.

Compensation varies by location, with target base salaries ranging from $103,000 to $184,000, plus potential bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life, and disability insurance, retirement contributions, paid time off, holidays, and an Employee Assistance Program.
