About the Role
• Oversee production section operations, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support. • Serve as Assistant Project Manager, assisting with project production alongside management duties. • Manage administrative functions for section staff and technical services, coordinating with other sections. • Participate in marketing planning, proposal development, and client interviews. • Engage directly with industrial and public clients on marketing and project production matters. • Ensure projects are planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated via proactive project management. • Implement, monitor, and support company policies. • Lead selection, training, development, and management of technical personnel. • Collaborate with National Directors and marketing teams on local and national efforts.

What You Bring
The System Protection & Studies Engineering Manager will oversee production operations, support staff development, lead marketing initiatives, and coordinate with both industrial and public clients. The role may also function as an Assistant Project Manager and handle administrative and technical service responsibilities, ensuring projects are planned, organized, and evaluated through proactive project management. US citizenship or permanent residency is required. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least seven years of experience, possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture. Preferred credentials include a master’s degree, a California professional engineering license, and PMP certification. • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and minimum 7 years experience. • Required: Strong communication, listening, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple assignments. • Required: Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture; US citizenship or permanent residency. • Preferred: Master’s degree. • Preferred: California professional engineering license. • Preferred: PMP certification.
