About the Role

In this role you will own the planning, scheduling, monitoring and control processes for delivery projects, developing the Project Baseline (scope, cost and schedule) and establishing the tools needed at launch. You will provide Earned Value Management analysis and deliver reliable information on schedule, progress, forecast, resources, productivity, trends and risks to Project Managers and Line Managers. You will analyse project requirements with the team, define work and cost breakdown structures, and maintain resource‑loaded baseline and current schedules that provide time‑phased data. You will monitor critical paths, alert the team to deviations, optimise resource usage and issue regular progress, program and productivity reports to customers and stakeholders. Coordination with third‑party contractors will ensure realistic and achievable plans. • Develop and maintain project baselines, schedules and integrated resource plans. • Perform Earned Value Management analysis to deliver schedule, cost and performance insights. • Monitor critical path activities, identify deviations and recommend resource optimisations. • Produce regular progress, program update and productivity reports for stakeholders. • Analyse project requirements and define work and cost breakdown structures with the team. • Coordinate with third‑party contractors to ensure realistic and achievable schedules. • Contribute to tender preparation and HVDC project planning activities. • Establish baseline criteria and status reporting for engineering workload planning. • Apply engineering degree knowledge and EPC project‑planner experience to lead controls across multi‑location projects. • Communicate key issues and risk trends to management and project teams.

What You Bring

The position is based in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom (Job ID: R0114136) and is offered as a full‑time remote role with occasional travel to offices or customer sites. No visa sponsorship is available for this role. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and has experience as a Project Planner in an EPC environment, preferably on HVDC or other lump‑sum energy projects. Proven expertise in logical sequencing, cost control and leading project‑controls activities across multi‑location EPC projects is required, together with strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
