About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager for multifamily communities ensures properties remain market‑ready, delivers high‑level resident service, and drives team performance. The role supports overall property operations and contributes to profitability and reputation. Working closely with the Property Manager, the assistant oversees daily functions such as maintenance coordination, capital projects, lease administration, budgeting, collections, evictions, marketing, lease renewals, and service contracts while maintaining compliance with Cushman & Wakefield policies. The position also focuses on resident satisfaction, handling conflict resolution, maintaining accurate resident files, and supporting leasing teams to achieve marketing goals. • Assist Property Manager with operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, collections, evictions, and service contracts. • Conduct lease and renewal paperwork ensuring compliance with company standards. • Track advertising performance and prospect traffic to support leasing goals. • Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to boost renewals and revenue. • Resolve resident conflicts promptly and maintain a positive living environment. • Manage on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance monitoring. • Oversee community budget, expense control, and financial reporting. • Collaborate with leasing staff to meet marketing and occupancy targets. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and internet tools for office and reporting tasks.

What You Bring

Success requires strong communication, customer service, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), and the ability to interview, hire, coach, and manage on‑site staff. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with at least three years of property management and one year of supervisory experience. • Meet physical demands of standing, walking, ladder use, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb; travel up to 15 % of time. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or High School diploma/GED with technical training. • Possess 3+ years property management experience and 1+ year supervisory experience. • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and customer service skills.
