About the Role
The Internal Auditor, IT & Cybersecurity strengthens ATCO's technology and risk management environment by assessing controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness. The role involves the full audit lifecycle—from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, analysis, and reporting—while evolving audit programs to address emerging risks. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external experts ensures high‑quality audit outcomes and robust governance. • Assist in planning and executing IT audit and advisory engagements to assess controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness • Perform audit procedures aligned with Global Internal Audit Standards and ATCO’s quality assurance framework • Conduct interviews and walkthroughs to document key processes, risks, and controls • Support coordination of external consulting resources on select projects • Identify observations and recommendations and contribute to report drafting • Complete follow‑up testing on management action plans to verify remediation and drive improvement • Help develop and refine internal audit policies, procedures, methodologies, and quality programs • Maintain audit documentation, including trackers, templates, manuals, and the audit universe • Support annual risk assessment activities and stay informed on emerging business risks • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization • Oversee assigned work within audit engagements to ensure clarity, accountability, and quality

What You Bring
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field • 3+ years of IT internal audit experience in public practice and/or industry • Working knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and IT audit frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001) • Pursuing or holding certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, PMP • Clearly articulate problems and findings to senior team members • Strong analytical skills with a big‑picture perspective and impact assessment • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships across internal and external parties • Self‑starter capable of working independently or in a team • High ethical standards and integrity • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
