About the Role
• Prioritize client relationships and serve as the primary client contact • Lead project presentations and manage project scope, schedule, and budget • Produce high‑quality work products and oversee architectural design staff • Research client requirements, program guidelines, and standards • Conduct comprehensive code and product research • Lead projects from initial survey and design through construction • Develop design concepts and presentations that clearly express project goals • Create technical details and coordinate with engineering disciplines • Coordinate work across all disciplines • Supervise preparation of project specifications and front‑end documents • Review shop drawings and monitor construction progress • Prepare proposals and responses to RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitations

The company requires successful completion of a criminal background check and complies with Fair Chance Ordinances in California, Los Angeles County, and San Francisco. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture • Be a licensed architect in the State of Illinois • Possess 10+ years of architecture experience, including project management • Have public‑sector project experience • Possess in‑depth knowledge of Illinois building codes, International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, etc. • Experience with Illinois public‑sector clients such as school districts, state universities, IDOT, or Capital Development Board (preferred) • Proficient with Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office • Demonstrate effective writing, communication, and detail‑oriented design skills • Exhibit professional public‑speaking abilities • Work independently or collaboratively on multiple projects
