What You Bring

Important: Before applying, due to the sensitive nature of these projects, you must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). We have an exciting opportunity for Project Managers to join our busy and expanding Bristol Defence Infrastructure business, supporting our clients to deliver a range of construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South/South West and nationally. Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role will suit Project Managers from a Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways background with proven experience and understanding of the processes. NEC accreditation is also preferred. At Turner & Townsend Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically £1 m to £10 m, though in a supporting role they may be larger. Candidates need at least five years’ experience with a focus on NEC contracts, expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract administration, and strong communication, presentation and writing skills. The role requires self‑motivation, strategic problem‑solving, experience working with multiple stakeholders under NEC contracts, and knowledge of CDM/site health and safety as it pertains to NEC contracts. A degree in an infrastructure or construction‑related subject is required, with chartered status (ICE, APM, RICS) preferred. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Eligibility may be affected by birthplace, nationality, citizenship or residency, and further details are available on the UK government website. • Apply NEC, JCT or FIDIC contract administration expertise. • Deliver clear verbal, written and presentation communications. • Hold a degree in infrastructure or construction; chartered status (ICE, APM, RICS) is a plus. • Possess minimum five years’ experience on NEC‑based projects; NEC accreditation preferred.
