Manage right‑of‑way projects, overseeing acquisition, relocation, staff, and client relations.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single‑discipline projects or large routine projects. • Independently coordinate professional staff and balance team workload throughout project development. • Manage right‑of‑way projects of varying sizes, including acquisition and relocation per the Uniform Act. • Develop project policies, procedures, quality and safety plans; maintain progress reports and update financials. • Oversee project staff and provide training as needed. • Build client relationships, participate in marketing efforts, and attend contractual, design, and production meetings. • Participate in compliance reviews with governing agencies. • Conduct scope development and contract document work sessions with staff. • Ensure timely completion of documents and coordinate workload throughout project development. • Track financial aspects and adjust team efforts to meet schedule and budget parameters. • Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller, Department Manager, and leadership for project reviews.

What You Bring
• Preferred: TDOT right‑of‑way experience. • Preferred: 6‑10 years managing right‑of‑way projects. • Preferred: Experience with acquisition and relocation following the Uniform Act. • Preferred: Ability to complete and interpret title reports. • Preferred: Tennessee Notary or ability to obtain one. • Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. • Required: Minimum 7 years related experience. • Required: At least 2 years of project management experience. • Required: Strong organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with design teams.
