About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician role supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians. Day‑to‑day duties include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, sensors and relays. You will track inventory, use a CMMS, lift up to 49 lb, stand or walk during shifts of up to 12 hours, and may travel up to 20 % of the time. • Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and document all activities. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, sensors, relays, and pneumatic systems. • Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution machinery. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their technical skills. • Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment. • Manage inventory and track work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and performing predictive and preventive maintenance. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree focused on mechanical or electrical fields, two years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, and at least one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. Additional desired skills are knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, familiarity with OEM safety standards, CMMS usage, and robotics or electromechanical maintenance. The role demands repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and standing, as well as lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lb and occasionally up to 49 lb. Working conditions may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, concrete flooring, heights and maneuvering bulky equipment. • Travel up to 20% of the time to service multiple facilities. • Required: High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of MHE repair experience. • Required: Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Preferred: Associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields and experience with conveyor systems. • Preferred: Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, and knowledge of robotics maintenance. • Physical: Lift up to 49 lb, stand/walk during 12‑hour shifts, and work in confined or noisy environments.
