About the Role
The Driver – CDL (A) safely operates heavy commercial trucks, tractor‑trailers or straight trucks with pup trailers to deliver and remove large containers. The role includes completing daily vehicle condition reports, ensuring compliance with company, state and federal safety standards, and performing routine inspections and minor repairs. • Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate heavy trucks along assigned routes, following route sheets and maps to service customers. • Use manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure timely service. • Perform minor container repairs on site or in the container yard. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for signs of unacceptable material and address issues promptly. • Clean accidental waste spills while following safety standards. • Continuously assess vehicle condition and clean waste from containers each trip. • Complete route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports accurately. • Maintain productivity standards to service all customers efficiently. • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program. • Apply effective time‑management skills to complete responsibilities safely. • Follow company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid unnecessary risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Utilize the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP). • Take advantage of employee discount programs.

What You Bring
• Show consistent follow‑through on schedules and challenges. • Preferably have two years of commercial truck driving experience. • Exhibit mechanical aptitude for performing minor container repairs. • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
