About the Role

What You Bring
The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end‑to‑end fiber optic networks with a focus on quality and reliability. Responsibilities include testing and troubleshooting continuity, operating testing equipment, preparing splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, and Corning, and using tools like fusion splicers, OTDRs, DWDM, CWDM, OLTS, power meters, and Max Tester. The role also requires knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding light levels and dB loss, and working on outdoor utility construction sites. Successful candidates prioritize safety and bring 3‑5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience. They excel at solving complex problems, are comfortable working on ladders or bucket trucks, and adapt to varied shifts with overtime. MOS codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, and 5699 align well with this position. • Possess 3–5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience. • Flexibly work varied shifts and overtime as needed.
