About the Role
The Construction Supervisor (CS) is a field‑leadership role that oversees three to six residential and small‑commercial solar installation crews. The CS ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and a positive customer experience, while organizing, motivating, managing, and training crews on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include maintaining advanced knowledge of electrical and general construction codes and acting as the construction subject‑matter expert for the branch. The CS collaborates with the Branch Operations Manager and Project Planner to adjust capacity and execute the construction schedule, optimizes crew structure for productivity, and conducts pre‑construction reviews to determine resource needs. The CS communicates KPI targets, reviews crew performance, leads safety and quality inspections, and facilitates weekly toolbox talks. Administrative duties such as maintaining training, inspection, and project documentation, processing purchase orders, and entering timecard data are also managed. Coordination with warehouse personnel ensures accurate stocking of vehicles and materials, and the CS leads mechanical and electrical work on both roof‑mounted and ground‑mounted projects. • Ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and customer experience on residential and small‑commercial solar installations. • Lead, organize, motivate, and train 3‑6 installation crews daily. • Maintain expert knowledge of electrical and general construction codes; act as construction SME. • Coordinate construction capacity with Branch Operations Manager and schedule with Project Planner. • Optimize crew structures and work schedules for maximum productivity. • Conduct pre‑construction reviews, quality‑control inspections, safety inspections, and weekly toolbox talks. • Track and communicate KPI targets, review crew performance, and provide feedback. • Manage project documentation, training records, inspections, purchase orders, and timecard entry. • Oversee material stocking with warehouse staff and lead mechanical/electrical work on roof and ground‑mounted projects. • Interact professionally with customers, inspectors, and the public; address questions and concerns. • Perform service calls and assist on installations as needed.

What You Bring
Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of construction experience (including two years in a leadership role), and an electrical certification license. Candidates must demonstrate strong people‑management skills, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Office and project‑management tools, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and up‑to‑date CPR and First Aid certifications. Physical demands include full mobility, the ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, climb a 20‑foot ladder, and work in various outdoor conditions while maintaining visual and hearing acuity. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a driving background check. • Minimum 5 years construction experience, including 2 years in a leadership role. • Electrical certification license and knowledge of NEC and applicable codes. • Strong mechanical, organizational, and time‑management skills; proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Project. • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to train and discipline staff. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to lift 50 lb and climb a 20‑ft ladder. • CPR and First Aid certified (reimbursed by company); must be at least 21 years old.
