What You Bring
This role is for a Project Manager in the Bristol Defence Infrastructure business, supporting construction infrastructure projects across the South/South West and nationally. Candidates must be a sole UK national capable of obtaining and maintaining UK MoD Security Clearance; existing clearance is desirable but not required. The position suits Project Managers with backgrounds in defence, rail, water/utilities or highways, and experience with complex works. Project values typically range from £1 million to £10 million, with larger scopes when providing support, and NEC accreditation is preferred. Applicants need a minimum of five years’ experience focused on NEC contracts, with expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract administration, strong communication skills, self‑motivation and strategic problem‑solving abilities, and experience working with multiple stakeholders under NEC frameworks. Knowledge of CDM and site health‑and‑safety requirements as they relate to NEC contracts is also required. A degree in an infrastructure or construction‑related discipline is required, with chartered or professional membership (ICE, APM, RICS, etc.) preferred. The role expects hybrid working, with approximately 60 % of time spent on client sites or Turner & Townsend offices, adjusted as business needs dictate. • Communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation formats. • Hold a degree in infrastructure or construction; chartered membership preferred. • Possess at least five years’ experience with NEC‑based contracts. • Be a sole UK national eligible for UK MoD Security Clearance.
