About the Role
Key responsibilities include identifying and technically managing projects that deliver solutions to operational submarines, as well as overseeing issues that could impact submarine availability. The role demands the management of high‑impact workstreams through a broad engineering network, interaction with project teams, customers and stakeholders at various seniority levels, and accountability for technical and budgetary performance. Day‑to‑day duties involve coordinating programmes addressing submarine NSRP issues, delivering work packages using internal and external resources, and ensuring technical requirements are met on time and within cost constraints. The lead will provide programme and technical leadership, adhere to engineering policies, communicate plans and budgets, and follow prescribed programme‑ and quality‑management processes. • Lead technical projects that deliver solutions to in‑service submarines. • Manage high‑impact workstreams across internal and external engineering resources. • Coordinate programmes addressing submarine NSRP issues and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery. • Provide programme and technical leadership while complying with engineering policies. • Communicate project plans, budgets and progress to stakeholders. • Ensure adherence to technical programme‑management and quality‑management processes.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a technical degree or equivalent and have submarine NSRP operator experience at Cat B level or above, plus design or operational knowledge of NSRPs. An understanding of engineering and programme‑management processes, risk and budget control, and systems‑approach competence is required, together with strong verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must be UK nationals (or MoD‑approved dual nationals) and obtain a Security Check clearance, which Rolls‑Royce will support. Salary and professional level (Grade 8‑10) will reflect experience.
