About the Role
As a senior designer you will support a group of skilled engineers, applying technical expertise to complex municipal and industrial projects. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and close interaction with staff engineers are core to the role. • Create terrain models, surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks using Autodesk Civil 3D 2024+. • Prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings with Civil 3D and AutoCAD following company and client standards. • Utilize Autodesk Revit and Esri ArcGIS mapping software as needed. • Manage project documents via ProjectWise, BIM 360, or Autodesk Construction Cloud. • Produce grading, site development, utility, and process piping designs, including alignments, profiles, and cross‑sections. • Perform volume and quantity calculations for water, wastewater, storm, and sanitary pipelines. • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines on multi‑discipline projects. • Maintain project files, logs, quality‑control verifications, and adhere to budgets and schedules. • Participate in QA/QC processes, resolve redlines, and ensure CADD document quality. • Apply 3D visualization and basic programming skills (optional).

What You Bring
GFT is seeking a Senior Civil Designer / Civil 3D Technician for its Phoenix, AZ office. The role follows a hybrid work model with regular office attendance, and remote work may be considered for the right candidate. The role requires a strong background in civil design and the ability to work within project budgets and schedules. Candidates should be comfortable using industry‑standard design software and collaborating across disciplines. • Associate’s degree in civil or mechanical design/drafting. • 8–10 years of civil design experience, including site‑civil, water & wastewater, stormwater, erosion & sediment control. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office applications. • Knowledge of construction drawings and ability to work with project budgets and schedules.
