About the Role

The role involves monitoring devices and networks, providing first‑line enquiry support, conducting on‑site troubleshooting and equipment swaps, maintaining test‑facility readiness, and ensuring all equipment follows manufacturer guidelines. The technician also performs corrective maintenance, manages calibrated tools and test equipment, keeps detailed records of field equipment and spares, and uses spares to meet contractual availability targets. • Monitor devices and networks for alarms. • Provide first‑line enquiry support and resolve service requests. • Perform on‑site troubleshooting and replace first‑line equipment or modules. • Maintain test facility operational readiness and adhere to manufacturer guidelines. • Execute corrective maintenance and ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated. • Record and document field equipment and spare parts. • Utilise spares and conduct repairs to meet contracted availability requirements. • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers. • Promote teamwork and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. • Proactively identify issues and propose solutions to senior staff. • Work rostered shift patterns and provide on‑call support after hours, weekends, and holidays. • Travel occasionally to other Thales sites for relief manning, support, or training.

What You Bring

Effective communication with all employee levels, teamwork collaboration, and strong relationships with customers and stakeholders are essential. The technician also assists the maintenance team by proactively identifying issues and recommending solutions to senior staff. Applicants must hold a current Electrical Service Technician (EST) registration or higher, have technical workshop or maintenance experience, be able to work rostered shifts and on‑call hours, travel occasionally to other Thales sites, and possess a valid driver’s licence. Experience with traffic or slot/vending machine equipment, basic networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, switches) and server environments is desirable. • Hold a current Electrical Service Technician (EST) registration or higher. • Possess experience in a technical workshop or maintenance environment. • Maintain a current driver’s licence. • Desirable: experience with traffic or slot/vending machine equipment, basic networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, switches), and server environments.
