About the Role
Environmental remediation protects communities and ecosystems, and this position is central to designing and implementing solutions that restore contaminated sites while helping clients meet regulatory and sustainability goals. • Evaluate contamination extent and support risk assessments to identify remediation alternatives. • Conduct field investigations, collect samples, and manage drilling and subcontractor activities. • Design, optimize, and implement soil and groundwater remediation systems using engineering techniques. • Prepare work plans, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals for remediation projects. • Compile and analyze environmental data with spreadsheets, databases, and GIS tools. • Produce technical reports and deliver client presentations detailing findings and recommendations. • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve client satisfaction and timely project delivery.

ERM NewFields is seeking an experienced Consultant in Environmental Engineering, Geology/Science to tackle complex environmental challenges in Atlanta, Georgia. The role focuses on leading projects, delivering innovative remediation solutions, and collaborating within a technically excellent team. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field, and has at least two years of relevant experience. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software. The role involves both office and field work, requiring the ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 30 lb, and travel to client sites with a valid driver’s license. Core competencies include meticulous attention to detail, resilience and adaptability in ambiguous situations, trust and respect for diverse perspectives, and effective interpersonal communication. Candidates must demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams. • Preferred: Obtain HAZWOPER certification and familiarity with ArcGIS. • Preferred: Experience preparing technical reports, presentations, and knowledge of remediation system design and optimization.
