About the Role

The role involves performing assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, and respond to basic warranty calls. Loading system‑level controller software and conducting basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators are key tasks. All required commissioning documentation must be completed. You will keep management, the JCI contractor, or the customer informed of job progress and any issues that arise. Calibration of systems using basic electronic test equipment and completion of administrative tasks—including timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation—are required. Communication with the contractor or customer at arrival and before leaving the work site, as well as adherence to all safety standards and required safety training, are mandatory. • Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools. • Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues. • Load controller software and conduct diagnostics on controllers and devices. • Complete commissioning documentation and as‑built records. • Communicate job progress to management, contractors, and customers. • Calibrate systems with electronic test equipment and handle administrative tasks. • Follow all safety standards and attend required training. • Maintain attention to detail and effective communication.

What You Bring

The candidate must demonstrate technical aptitude, be able to use hand and power tools, and possess basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and effective communication and listening skills are essential. Depending on location, mounting and termination of low‑voltage devices may require special licensing. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience installing electronic or mechanical systems and demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems. • Demonstrate technical aptitude, use hand/power tools, and possess basic computer skills. • Preferred: 2 years experience installing electronic/mechanical systems and HVAC knowledge.
