Job Highlights
About the Role
As a Gensler Technical Designer you will bring boundless creativity to the design of unique environments, contributing design knowledge from conception through to project completion across all design stages. You will be involved in every project phase—from programming and conceptual design to schematic design, design development, construction documents, and production. Collaboration with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and other vendors is essential to meet project objectives. Your work will include producing graphic presentations, 3‑D renderings, plans, elevations, details, and detailed construction drawings, as well as using hand‑rendering techniques to communicate concepts. You will support sustainability targets, study sustainable design strategies, and engage in climate‑focused analysis for each project. • Submit portfolio or work samples in PDF format as part of the application. • Utilize real‑time rendering and material creation within integrated BIM and parametric workflows. • Apply computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo for design development. • Conduct building performance simulations using Insight, Sefaira, Diva, or Ladybug tools. • Leverage visualization platforms Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, and 3DS Max for high‑quality renderings. • Employ experiential platforms Unreal Engine or Unity to create immersive design experiences.
