About the Role
The Senior Community Manager will lead multiple properties, overseeing resident experience, leasing, staff, financial reporting, and marketing. This role requires a people‑first approach, high‑performance leadership, and the ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining strong university relationships. • Lead and supervise community staff, ensuring high performance • Recruit, train, and, when needed, terminate team members • Manage staff schedules and property payroll submissions • Conduct regular check‑ins across sites to provide tools and resources • Support teams during short‑staffed periods or leasing backlogs • Mentor other Community Managers to enhance skills • Maintain properties to high standards and ensure compliance • Oversee property reporting and analyze data for improvements • Negotiate vendor contracts and leverage economies of scale • Drive strategic initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency • Build and maintain relationships with residents, universities, and stakeholders • Execute quarterly Reputation Management Plans with Regional Manager • Handle escalated resident and guarantor concerns swiftly • Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements • Uphold brand standards for consistent property presentation • Collaborate on special projects and provide strategic insights • Complete HR/People Operations tasks with attention to detail • Participate in cross‑property initiatives to enhance resident experience • Work full onsite shifts and be available evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed • Assist with move‑outs, turn, and move‑ins beyond normal hours

What You Bring
• Minimum 5 years property management experience in student housing • High school diploma required; college degree preferred • Exceptional leadership and team‑motivation skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Windows/Apple OS • Experience with Entrata or Yardi software preferred • Strategic portfolio management and cross‑property leadership experience
