About the Role
The role involves methodical investigation, analysis, design, and documentation of operational systems and processes, with a focus on safety and SOP development. Responsibilities include identifying technology requirements, collecting and analyzing operations data, troubleshooting procedures, and developing automated workflow tracking methods. The incumbent will also conduct testing to support decision‑making, act as a liaison for long‑term technology solutions, coordinate reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and provide training on analysis results. Additionally, the position manages department invoices and monitors project budgets and costs. • Identify technology requirements to improve operational processes and safety. • Collect, compile, and analyze operations data and report findings. • Troubleshoot procedures, recommend improvements, and advise stakeholders. • Develop automated workflow tracking and performance efficiency methods. • Conduct testing to support analytical decision‑making. • Act as liaison to define technology solutions for long‑term problems. • Coordinate reporting and responses to internal/external requests (e.g., Ops‑Engineering, PUC). • Develop and deliver training on analysis results. • Process department invoices and monitor project budgets and costs. • Communicate findings clearly to gas operations teams and stakeholders.

What You Bring
Strong knowledge of engine and compressor policies, compliance regulations, and internal operations is required, along with solid analytical, planning, writing, and data‑management skills. The candidate must be detail‑oriented, an effective problem‑solver, and possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. The ability to clearly explain analysis processes and findings to gas operations teams is essential. Minimum qualifications include at least five years of analytical experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, though equivalent experience may be considered. A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate PNG company vehicles are required.
