About the Role

The Relocation Specialist provides compassionate, high-quality relocation assistance to residential, commercial, agricultural, and nonprofit displacees, requiring bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. The role involves managing the entire relocation process with empathy, complying with applicable laws and serving as a representative of contracted clients. This position offers a collaborative environment and a customer-focused mindset. Successful candidates will manage case files from inception through closure, conduct onsite interviews, calculate benefit eligibility, perform housing searches, and coordinate logistics while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. • Provide personalized, compassionate relocation assistance and advisory services to diverse residential, commercial, agricultural, and nonprofit displacees. • Conduct onsite interviews to assess individual situations and clearly explain program benefits and processes. • Calculate eligibility amounts, prepare claim forms, obtain approvals, and process payments accurately. • Perform housing and site searches using local market knowledge and coordinate moving logistics with minimal disruption. • Maintain comprehensive case files, including profiles, documentation, forms, claims, and correspondence. • Deliver timely notices, status updates, and reports to displacees, project teams, and leadership, escalating issues as needed. • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive client information. • Collaborate with colleagues across projects to share knowledge and ensure consistent high-quality service. • Continuously develop skills through training, regulatory learning, and technique improvement. • Represent GFT’s mission by demonstrating patience, integrity, and positivity in client interactions.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least one year of relocation assistance or real-property acquisition experience, a GED or high school diploma (college degree preferred), a valid driver’s license with insurance, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and multitasking skills, along with cultural awareness and a positive team attitude, are essential. • Minimum one year of relocation assistance or real-property acquisition experience. • GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred. • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams). • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage high caseloads. • Strong reading comprehension for interpreting policies and regulations. • Cultural awareness and rapport-building skills with diverse clients and stakeholders.
