About the Role
The engineer will carry out routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a wide range of equipment to ensure that manufacturing assets are safe, available and operating at high performance standards. • Analyse equipment data to determine the most effective maintenance approach. • Read and interpret machinery drawings, circuit/logic diagrams, schematics, manuals and parts catalogues. • Collaborate with equipment OEM engineers for troubleshooting and support. • Utilise precision diagnostic instruments and conduct root‑cause analysis during maintenance. • Make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and prior experience.

What You Bring
Rolls‑Royce Submarines is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing Services Member – Mechatronics) to join the team in Derby. The role involves performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and associated production equipment within the plant. Rolls‑Royce is committed to diversity and inclusion, requires UK nationality and a Security Check (SC) clearance, and will support candidates in obtaining the necessary clearance. • Hold a time‑served engineering apprenticeship (NVQ level 3) in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering. • Demonstrated experience with electro‑mechanical equipment, PLCs, multi‑axis CNC machines and control systems. • Exhibit strong problem‑solving, communication, flexibility and adaptability skills. • Maintain good computer literacy; system‑specific training will be provided.
