About the Role

The Maintenance Technician I role joins a small work team to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on automated packaging and distribution equipment, supporting the Operations Maintenance function across the facility. • Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures. • Perform preventative maintenance routines and document activities. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment (e.g., belts, motors, sensors, relays). • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, maintenance tasks, and parts used. • Manage department inventory and ensure parts are stocked. • Collaborate with peers to complete PMs, repairs, and other projects. • Maintain positive relationships across the operations facility. • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Perform tasks involving frequent crouching, bending, and equipment handling. • Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. • Type on a computer for 1–2 hours each day.

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. • Have 1+ year experience in industrial maintenance and predictive/preventative procedures. • Possess 1+ year experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. • Read blueprints and electrical schematics with at least 1 year of practice. • Understand electrical and electronic principles. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Flexibility to work varying schedules/shifts. • Associate degree or higher in mechanical or electrical field (preferred). • Experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems (preferred). • Knowledge of MHE safety standards per OEM and industry guidelines (preferred). • Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions (preferred). • Experience with industrial base building systems maintenance (preferred). • Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lb. • Wear required PPE such as hard hat, face shield, and composite‑toe shoes. • Travel 6–12 miles daily between departments, floors, and properties.
