About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor for Multifamily Berkeley Heights Apartments reports to Cushman & Wakefield and is responsible for delivering high‑quality maintenance support to residents. The role ensures smooth move‑ins, resident satisfaction, timely service, and personal attention, contributing to the company's reputation for superior customer service. The supervisor oversees preparation of market‑ready units, handles resident service requests, and possesses broad knowledge of plumbing, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, painting, and life‑safety systems. They also keep grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas and dog parks clean and safe, perform on‑call emergency duties, and schedule preventative maintenance while documenting all activities. • Execute painting, carpet cleaning, and repairs to ready apartments for new residents • Respond promptly to resident service requests • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, pool and hot‑tub systems • Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, grounds, dog parks, and pool facilities • Handle on‑call emergency situations following established procedures • Report maintenance issues that affect budget, safety, or property condition to management • Document and track all maintenance activities and preventive schedules • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal housing codes and safety policies • Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally at all times

What You Bring

The position requires the ability to work any shift Sunday‑Saturday, a valid driver’s license, and certification such as EPA 608 Type II or CPO where required. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, three or more years of related experience, and be proficient in basic math calculations and safety procedures.

Benefits

Work is performed in a professional office setting with regular travel between properties and exposure to varying weather conditions. Compensation ranges from $29.75 to $35.00 hourly, complemented by health, vision, dental, retirement, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off.
