About the Role
The role involves performing a variety of tasks that combine manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products, which may be mechanical, electrical, or a combination of both. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills needed to advance to the Advanced Assembler #1 classification. Daily duties include reading and interpreting blueprints and routings to produce parts to required specifications, ensuring quality through first‑piece and subsequent inspections, performing routine equipment maintenance, and keeping the work area neat and clean. The employee must follow all machine operation and guarding rules and maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety. • Read and interpret blueprints and routings to fabricate parts to specifications. • Perform first‑piece and ongoing inspections to ensure assembly quality. • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean. • Follow machine operation and guarding safety rules. • Record basic productivity, quality, and safety reports. • Assemble manufactured and purchased components into subassemblies or final products. • Operate rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools. • Stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 30 lb repeatedly. • Follow work order instructions and generate simple production reports. • Maintain visual acuity and manual dexterity for equipment operation and inspection.

What You Bring
Success in this role requires the ability to assemble both manufactured and purchased components, using tools such as rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools. Physical capabilities include frequent standing, sitting, bending, and the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lb. Adequate reading, writing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity are needed to follow work orders, operate equipment, and inspect parts.
