About the Role
Join us in delivering the infrastructure essential for modern Australia. As a Project Engineer with the Power Projects Team, you will lead the design and execution of high‑voltage substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout Victoria. You will assess construction risks to ensure safe execution and compliance with environmental and quality standards. You will coordinate and manage engineering activities to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. You will lead by example in promoting Zero Harm safety, collaborate on waste‑reduction initiatives, and oversee subcontractor performance and commercial matters. • Assess construction risks to ensure safety and compliance with environmental and quality standards. • Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. • Lead by example and promote Zero Harm safety principles with operational teams. • Collaborate with project teams to implement business improvements that eliminate waste and reduce operational costs. • Manage subcontractors and provide commercial advice on performance.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a sharp engineering mind, strong problem‑solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex plans on time and to a high standard. Required qualifications include a trade or Electrical Engineering credential, or a Diploma in Project Management, together with experience delivering electrical utility projects, preferably in the energy supply sector and substation delivery. Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk and Expert Estimator is also required. • Hold a trade or Electrical Engineering qualification, or a Diploma in Project Management. • Demonstrate proven experience delivering electrical utility projects, preferably in substation delivery. • Proficient with MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk, and Expert Estimator.
