About the Role
Primary duties include supporting project coordination, managing multi‑disciplinary design teams from conception to completion, and ensuring organizational focus, attention to detail, and effective collaboration to achieve successful outcomes. Travel to job sites or other HDR offices may be required and will be coordinated in advance. • Grow and mentor a collaborative, high‑quality design team. • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams throughout project phases. • Manage workload to deliver construction documents on schedule. • Recruit and retain mission‑critical staff. • Build and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing meetings. • Assist Business Development in fee proposals and scope of work creation. • Promote HDR’s brand and services. • Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, and quality standards. • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards. • Lead project teams to achieve client satisfaction. • Control project scope, schedule, budget, and quality. • Handle forecasting, invoicing, and contract management. • Develop proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget. • Support interview preparation and presentations. • Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle. • Track financial performance and adjust work effort to stay within budget and schedule. • Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct periodic project reviews. • Manage relationships with subconsultants. • Travel to job sites or HDR offices as required. • Take ownership of assignments and work independently or within large teams. • Stay current with fast‑paced mission‑critical industry trends.

What You Bring
HDR is seeking a Data Center Assistant Project Manager for our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. The role supports project managers in coordinating design teams and delivering projects from initiation through completion, working closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, marketing, and other stakeholders. The position requires strong leadership, self‑motivation, and a passion for technically excellent design solutions in mission‑critical environments. • Minimum 3 years experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction, or commissioning. • Prior data center/mission‑critical experience in an architectural or engineering consulting firm (desired). • Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills. • Proficient in Newforma Project Center or ProjectWise Document Management. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field. • Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.
