About the Role
As a Diesel Mechanic you will maintain and repair the fleet of trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers nationwide, including both diesel and growing CNG trucks, using modern tools and procedures to deliver high‑quality maintenance. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and the community. • Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times. • Assist senior mechanics with project work and complex repairs. • Review and address repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and corporate standards.
