About the Role
Responsibilities include improving operations, reducing turnaround times, and delivering seamless customer service while performing welding duties such as grinding, shaping, and defect inspection, operating overhead cranes, and completing required data tracking and forms. • Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes while ensuring seamless customer service. • Perform welding duties including grinding, housekeeping, shaping components, and inspecting for defects. • Operate overhead cranes safely. • Complete assigned data tracking and related documentation. • Follow work procedures and visual standard operating procedures. • Learn and implement new welding procedures, systems, and techniques. • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance.

What You Bring
The Welder Journeyman performs advanced welding tasks using multiple techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures for industrial, construction, and manufacturing projects. The role demands proficiency in blueprint reading, equipment maintenance, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe work. Candidates must have an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of welding experience, and be a registered Alberta apprentice, Certified Journeyperson, or hold a Red Seal endorsement. Proficiency in GMAW with solid‑wire and metal‑core processes is required; metal‑core and aluminum welding are a plus, along with strong verbal and written communication and attention to detail. The position also requires physical ability to lift 50 lb and work in various positions and weather conditions.
