About the Role

As a Structural Engineer on our Resources team in Sudbury, you will design and deliver structural systems for industrial and mining facilities across Ontario and beyond, contributing to new builds, rehabilitation programs, and supporting Canada’s mining sector. You will work alongside multidisciplinary specialists, mentor emerging designers, and help expand our provincial practice. • Design structural systems for mining and industrial facilities to enhance safety and reliability. • Produce detailed engineering packages from concept through stamped IFC deliverables. • Coordinate design requirements with mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams. • Conduct structural assessments and site investigations for retrofits, remediation, or rehabilitation. • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction specifications for compliance and client decisions. • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, performing quality reviews. • Engage with clients through site meetings, field reviews, and collaborative problem‑solving. • Support cost‑effective, technically robust solutions aligned with WSP’s innovation standards.

What You Bring

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario with 6+ years of structural design for heavy‑industrial mining projects. • Proficient in concrete and steel design using Canadian Codes and Standards. • Experienced with structural analysis software such as S‑Frame, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000. • Skilled in performing field reviews, site investigations, and condition assessments in active industrial settings.
