About the Role

• Lead smaller environmental projects while supporting senior managers on larger programmes. • Develop project proposals, define scope, resources, programmes and cost estimates. • Create and maintain project documentation such as plans, risk registers, schedules and stakeholder registers. • Monitor and control schedules, budgets, staff hours and project progress. • Ensure health and safety compliance for site visits and secure internal approvals. • Manage contracts, administer contract terms and oversee change and risk processes. • Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary environmental project teams and external suppliers. • Promote delivery of environmental betterment, net‑zero and future‑ready strategies. • Serve as the primary contact for Environment and Consents with internal WSP teams, clients and stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environment or sustainability. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to keep teams and stakeholders aligned. • Proficiency in programme management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and understanding of work breakdown structures and critical paths. • Commercial and contractual awareness with a record of delivering projects within budget and managing change control; familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts is a plus. • Membership of a relevant professional body (PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) and progress toward chartership or similar accreditation.
