About the Role
The Operator II role in Mantua, OH involves assembling or packing various products, performing required quality tests per specifications, and meeting production demands. The employee must recognize basic equipment errors and either report them or conduct simple troubleshooting. Production duties include operating auxiliary and semi‑automatic equipment, assisting higher‑level operators, using measuring tools to verify quality, training lower‑level operators, handling material processing equipment, updating shop‑floor management systems, troubleshooting equipment, and multitasking on multiple machines while maintaining output. The operator monitors raw‑material supplies, visually checks workstations, pulls supplies from stock, transports materials using appropriate handling equipment, and alerts supervisors when inventory reaches reorder levels. Quality responsibilities involve testing and inspecting products, reporting out‑of‑spec items, executing non‑conforming product procedures, isolating or reworking defective items, and entering accurate data into the quality control system. Additional duties may include participation in 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross‑functional training, as well as working varied shifts and wearing required personal protective equipment. • Operate auxiliary and semi‑automatic production equipment. • Assist higher‑level operators and train lower‑level operators. • Use measuring equipment to verify product specifications. • Run multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining required output. • Perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment. • Update CIP boards via the shop‑floor management system. • Visually monitor workstation supply levels and replenish as needed. • Transport materials using appropriate handling equipment. • Notify supervisors when supplies reach reorder thresholds. • Test and inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Report non‑conforming products to supervision or quality personnel. • Execute non‑conforming product procedures, including isolation and rework. • Accurately enter data into the quality control system. • Participate in 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross‑functional training.
