About the Role

Primary duties include daily grounds maintenance such as trash collection, pet waste removal and sweeping walkways; assisting with cleaning vacant units and performing basic screwdriver tasks like replacing drip pans and removing outlet covers; and ensuring that apartments, common areas, and amenities meet Weidner’s quality standards each day. • Perform daily grounds maintenance: trash collection, pet waste removal, sweep walkways. • Clean vacant units and conduct basic screwdriver repairs (replace drip pans, remove outlet/switch covers, disassemble refrigerators for cleaning). • Ensure apartments, common areas, and amenities are market‑ready and meet quality standards daily. • Maintain a clean leasing office to provide a welcoming environment for residents and guests. • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and remain on feet for entire shift. • Complete tasks safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. • Follow Weidner’s mission, policies, Fair Housing, and other legal requirements. • Maintain regular attendance, wear uniform, and present a professional appearance.

What You Bring

The Community Housekeeper 1 role is a part‑time position located in Stony Plain, AB, within the Maintenance category. The incumbent is responsible for daily upkeep of common areas, keeping the leasing office clean, and preparing homes after move‑out to ensure a quality move‑in experience. Success in this role requires effective time management, attention to detail, trustworthiness, teamwork, and strong customer‑service skills when interacting with residents, associates, and vendors. Candidates must be able to lift 45 lb, climb ladders and stairs, and operate an appliance dolly with loads up to 85 lb, as well as work outdoors in all weather conditions and remain on their feet for an entire shift. Additional requirements include safe and efficient task completion, fast‑paced work ethic, clear communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and preferably Yardi or Paycom, adherence to Weidner policies and Fair Housing laws, reliable attendance and professional appearance, teamwork or independent work capability, flexibility for extended hours, willingness to work at other Weidner properties, English proficiency, passing a criminal background check and drug test, and having a valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance and reliable transportation. • Lift and carry up to 45 lb, use an appliance dolly for loads up to 85 lb, and navigate ladders and multiple flights of stairs. • Communicate professionally in person, by phone, email, and text. • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi and Paycom preferred. • Work collaboratively or independently and be available for overtime or assignments at other properties. • Possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance. • Pass criminal background check and agree to voluntary drug testing. • Possess working knowledge of English and be detail‑oriented and organized.
