About the Role
Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining and operating machinery, including conventional, special‑purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines such as grinders, drills, and presses. Nature and Scope: Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non‑routine or problem areas from the supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude and independent judgment, with detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor. • Operate CNC, conventional, and special‑purpose machines such as resistance welders, brake presses, power presses, saws, drills, and grinders. • Meet production targets while ensuring finished workpieces conform to specifications. • Maintain a clean and safe work area and handle packing, loading, and unloading of finished materials. • Complete process monitoring and production ticket documentation accurately. • Monitor machine start‑up, detect malfunctions, and perform minor repairs during the shift. • Follow all safety procedures and use required safety equipment. • Apply basic math and measurement skills for job tasks.

What You Bring
Work Environment: Typically located in a comfortable setting but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward. No travel required. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0‑2 years of experience in the area of responsibility. Preferred qualifications include the ability to read and understand safety operating procedures, use safety features and equipment, and basic math skills. 1‑3 years' related experience is desired.
