About the Role
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative team environment, delivering quality inspections and maintaining a customer‑focused mindset. Key duties include inspecting contractor work, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications and QC plans, complying with overtime requirements, and daily communication with project engineers or supervisors. The inspector also completes daily PSA’s, work sheets, seeks guidance when needed, and participates in field staff huddles. • Inspect contractor work to ensure quality construction. • Verify adherence to plans, specifications, standards and QC plans. • Comply with district and project overtime requirements. • Meet daily with project engineers or supervisors for instructions. • Complete daily PSA’s and work sheets. • Seek manager assistance for material and workmanship compliance issues. • Participate in daily field staff huddles.

What You Bring
Required experience includes at least one year as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI 1) or higher, with alternatives such as three years of transportation construction inspection plus a high school diploma, or four years of related trades experience. An associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management may substitute for two years of experience, and candidates must be able to read plans, calculate quantities and perform material quality control testing.
