About the Role
The Engineering Supervisor supports the development, implementation, and upkeep of standardized product designs and assembly processes. They apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot design‑related issues, guide teams to follow established standards, and contribute to continuous‑improvement efforts that enhance product quality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness. By maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with cross‑functional groups, and assisting with training activities, the supervisor ensures smooth and consistent integration of standardized products into production operations. They also support the nineteen panelboard and switchboard sites—including Sumter, Juarez, El Paso, and sixteen satellites—by overseeing design accuracy of existing products and the launch of new features. Acting as the product‑line engineering liaison for all plants and satellites, they provide expertise on product‑related codes and standards such as UL, NEC, CSA, NEMA, and CANENA. They oversee prompt replies to plant requests, develop a tracking system for technical questions, and support vendors, customers, sales, and manufacturing through change requests, design deviations, and continuous‑improvement initiatives. The role includes monitoring warranty and service‑history trends, conducting root‑cause analysis on recurring issues, and performing bi‑annual competitor analysis of product features. Coordination of communications among satellites, main plants, application engineers, and product management, as well as overseeing MOL engineers, ensures best practices are shared across facilities. • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized product designs and assembly processes. • Troubleshoot design‑related issues and guide teams to follow established standards. • Maintain accurate documentation, coordinate cross‑functional groups, and assist with training. • Support 19 panelboard and switchboard sites, ensuring design accuracy and new feature launches. • Serve as product‑line engineering liaison, providing expertise on UL, NEC, CSA, NEMA, and CANENA standards. • Oversee timely responses to plant requests and create a tracking system for technical questions. • Provide product‑line support to vendors, customers, sales, and manufacturing. • Manage change requests, design deviations, and continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Conduct bi‑annual competitor analysis and monitor warranty/service‑history trends. • Facilitate root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and coordinate communications across facilities. • Ensure best practices are shared between plants and satellite locations.

What You Bring
Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or electronics preferred) and a minimum of eight years of design or engineering experience, including at least three years with UL 50, UL 67, and UL 891 standards. Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt credentials, experience with low‑voltage power distribution equipment, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Enovia, and Microsoft Office are essential. Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the work location (active‑duty military exempt) and be prepared to travel up to 25 % of the time. • Minimum 8 years design/engineering experience; Bachelor’s in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or electronics preferred). • At least 3 years experience with UL 50, UL 67, UL 891 standards; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Enovia, and Microsoft Office suite. • Knowledge of PLM systems, sheet‑metal/plastic/copper/aluminum fabrication, and bus joint design. • Up to 25% travel; candidates must reside within 50 miles of location (military exemption).
