About the Role
Key duties include collaborating with principal and senior designers, performing condition assessments and modernization reports, producing design drawings and specifications, inspecting installations, and witnessing on‑site testing. The engineer will calculate lift numbers, sizes and speeds for all building types, including high‑rise, and retrofit equipment into congested existing systems. • Design and review elevator, escalator, and moving walkway drawings and specifications. • Conduct condition assessments, modernization reports, and on‑site installation inspections. • Calculate lift quantities, sizes, speeds, and develop vertical transport concepts for all building types. • Collaborate with senior designers and provide design feedback for retrofit projects. • Perform field travel (5‑10 %) for assessments across the United States.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of vertical transportation experience, and must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred qualifications include five or more years with elevators, escalators and moving walkways, strong analytical and engineering skills, and the ability to communicate designs clearly through sketches, writing and presentations. Proficiency with passenger‑traffic analysis software (ELEVATE), AutoCAD/MicroStation, BIM/Revit, and Microsoft Office is required, along with excellent planning, organizational and time‑management abilities. The position may require 5‑10 % travel within the United States for field assessments. • Required: Bachelor’s degree, ≥4 years vertical transportation experience, U.S. citizenship. • Preferred: ≥5 years experience, strong analytical skills, proficiency in ELEVATE, AutoCAD/MicroStation, BIM/Revit. • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
