About the Role
The role focuses on supporting the Management of Environmental, Safety, and Health (MESH) program, driving zero‑Lead initiatives, safety committees, go‑green projects, emergency response teams, and the MESH champions program. The incumbent will lead risk‑reduction activities such as incident investigations, corporate stand‑downs, lessons‑learned corrective actions, and will develop and present EHS content for tier meetings, trainings, all‑employee gatherings, and corporate stand‑downs. They will also aid in preparations for third‑party assessments, audits, and certifications, and ensure completion of annual MESH tasks including workstation risk assessments, self‑assessments, site‑level risk reviews, and safety and environmental operating reviews. Interaction with front‑line employees and supervisors is required to address EHS observations, conduct assessments, and implement corrective measures, while routine inspections of EHS equipment such as oxygen sensors and fire extinguishers are performed regularly. • Assist implementation of MESH program and zero‑Lead initiatives. • Conduct incident investigations, corporate stand‑downs, and corrective‑action follow‑up. • Prepare and deliver EHS content for tier meetings, trainings, and all‑employee sessions. • Support third‑party assessments, audits, and certifications. • Complete annual workstation risk assessments, self‑assessments, and site‑level reviews. • Respond to employee EHS observations, perform assessments, and enforce corrective actions. • Perform routine inspections of EHS equipment such as oxygen sensors and fire extinguishers.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years of EHS experience (or four years of progressive responsibility), and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The position requires ITAR compliance; applicants must be U.S. persons and reside within a 50‑mile radius of the North Charleston, SC facility. Additional qualifications include three years of manufacturing EHS experience, advanced EHS trainings or certifications (e.g., Train‑the‑Trainer, Competent Person, OHST), and familiarity with lean manufacturing practices, OSHA regulations, and safety metric improvement. The role demands strong oral and written communication, planning and organizational abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the capacity to present results and recommendations to site‑level leadership.
