About the Role

• Apply design, engineering, and modeling techniques under project engineers' direction for transportation and water resource projects. • Work independently on small projects and assist senior engineers on larger site studies, designs, contract documentation, and presentations. • Prepare civil design drawings using BIM/CADD platforms for construction documents. • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations, calculations, and drainage mapping. • Support stormwater management facility design calculations and modeling. • Review construction/contract plans, specifications, and cost estimates. • Assist in writing reports and technical memos. • Provide drainage design permitting support. • Conduct water quality assessments and calculations. • Measure floodplain impacts and calculate compensation. • Prepare cost opinions and technical documents. • Support construction‑phase implementation of infrastructure.

What You Bring

• Obtain EIT within 12 months (or be hired as Coordinator with EIT goal). • Proficient in MicroStation/AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, StormCAD, Open Roads Designer. • Experience performing drainage design for highway/roadway projects, including plans, specs, and permitting. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Self‑motivated to complete tasks and learn new skills. • Local candidates preferred with ability to work on‑site for in‑person collaboration. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
