About the Role

As a Vice President, you will supervise staff, manage and grow key client relationships, and provide experienced project leadership. You will act as a subject‑matter expert across several technical areas, contribute to team development, and help sustain profitability and new‑business growth. Key responsibilities include managing multiple projects and teams concurrently, directing complex delivery teams, and collaborating with clients to design solutions that meet strategic sustainability priorities. You will lead business development efforts, coach teams in building corporate sustainability data inventories, and author technical reports and proposals. The role also involves organizing large data sets, communicating findings to executive audiences, developing ambitious performance targets, and guiding clients on decarbonization strategies, climate risk assessments, and sustainability reporting. Ethical decision‑making and adherence to WSP’s Code of Conduct are required. • Supervise multiple team members and foster their professional development. • Manage and deliver concurrent sustainability projects while building strong client relationships. • Direct complex delivery teams of internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance. • Design and implement high‑profile sustainability solutions, including decarbonization strategies and climate risk assessments. • Lead business development initiatives to grow SECC revenue and acquire new clients. • Coach teams in creating enterprise‑wide sustainability data inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources. • Analyze large data sets and present actionable insights to executive audiences using Excel, Power BI, etc. • Develop and track performance metrics for energy, GHG, and resource reduction targets. • Support clients in setting ambitious sustainability performance goals and related achievement plans. • Ensure compliance with WSP’s Code of Conduct and health, safety, and harassment policies.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or an environmental discipline (master’s preferred) and has at least 15 years of consulting or corporate experience focused on sustainability, energy, climate, or environmental management. Demonstrated expertise with frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, LCA, SBTi, CDP, GRI, or TCFD, as well as strong project, client‑relationship, and leadership experience, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Power BI, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate remotely are required. Candidates must uphold workplace safety and comply with WSP’s health, safety, and harassment policies.
