About the Role

Step into a high‑impact role at the heart of our finance organization as the General Financial Controller. You will lead core accounting operations, elevate our control environment, and provide the financial rigor needed to support Schneider Electric’s long‑term ambitions. The position blends technical excellence with a collaborative mindset, thriving in dynamic environments and continuous improvement. In this strategic partnership role you will serve as a trusted advisor across all functions, translating financial data into clear insights that drive growth and results. You will act as a CFO proxy when required, steer the annual planning and balanced scorecard processes, and champion finance transformation initiatives that enhance the organization’s performance. • Report business unit performance with actionable insights. • Partner with leaders and sales teams to support growth. • Act as CFO proxy and assist in strategic finance planning. • Lead monthly and quarterly forecasts and actuals delivery. • Oversee the monthly close process and communicate results to business leaders. • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and local teams to ensure data accuracy. • Analyze orders, sales, gross margin, and SFC performance and explain variances. • Support audits of rebate programs and provide ad‑hoc analysis. • Provide financial and commercial guidance to stakeholders. • Drive finance transformation and contribute to broader business change. • Promote compliance and strengthen internal control culture. • Work with GSC and Inventory Planning to forecast inventory levels. • Present financial results and translate data into business insights. • Secure annual SFC funding, track inflows, and report ROI. • Coordinate ERP cost updates with the North America Inventory Costing team. • Steer the Hoshin annual plan and balanced scorecard processes with performance follow‑up.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset, strong problem‑solving instincts, and a customer‑centric approach that transcends functional boundaries. Openness to feedback, resilience, ownership, and transparent communication are essential traits for success in this role. We are looking for a finance leader with at least ten years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial analysis or FP&A, preferably with an accounting qualification. A solid technical foundation, proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and tools such as SAP, Hyperion and BI, combined with strong analytical and organizational skills, is required.

Benefits

The compensation package includes a base salary and short‑term incentive ranging from $145,800 to $194,400 for Ontario residents, along with a comprehensive benefits suite that features flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, pension matching, well‑being programs and generous vacation time.
