ILS Officer

About the Role

In this role you will deliver complex logistics support to meet project deliverables and apply ILS considerations across capability development. You will provide technical ILS advice for project planning, procedures and support system constituent capabilities during acquisition, and support logistics activities such as RAM analysis, sparing, LORA, costing, capability transition and advice on Fundamental Inputs to Capability. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at strategic and operational levels and ensuring logistics governance and assurance in line with Defence policies are also core responsibilities. • Deliver complex logistics support and apply Integrated Logistics Support across capability development. • Provide technical ILS advice for project planning, procedures and support system constituent capabilities during acquisition. • Conduct logistics activities such as RAM analysis, sparing, LORA, costing, capability transition and advise on Fundamental Inputs to Capability. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at strategic and operational levels. • Ensure logistics governance and assurance by adhering to Defence policies, processes and record‑keeping standards. • Work on critical defence projects that shape Australia’s future.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has proven experience in ICT system administration, a solid understanding of the Australian Government Information Security Manual and related compliance, and formal qualifications in information security plus certifications in VMware Workspace ONE UEM, AWS and Microsoft Office 365. You must be able to work independently with strong written (Defence standards) and oral communication skills, have exposure to aviation environments and hold a current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) security clearance, with possible ITAR requirements. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality outcomes are essential. • Possess proven ICT system administration experience with strong technical capability. • Understand the Australian Government Information Security Manual and compliance requirements. • Hold formal information security qualifications and certifications in VMware Workspace ONE UEM, AWS and Microsoft Office 365. • Work independently with strong written (Defence standards) and oral communication skills. • Have exposure to aviation environments and hold a current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) security clearance; ITAR compliance may be required.
