Custodian

About the Role

The Custodian (Cleaner) will report to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor at C&W Services and perform a variety of cleaning duties in accordance with company standards and procedures. The role involves maintaining interior floors, surfaces, furnishings, and bathrooms while ensuring a clean and safe environment for building occupants. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces. • Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot clean daily and shampoo as directed. • Dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and perform periodic high dusting. • Clean windowsills, interior glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows. • Wash or spot‑clean interior walls daily. • Clean and restock bathrooms, including wiping glass, emptying waste, servicing dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tiles, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functioning lights. • Collect building trash daily and place it in approved containers for removal. • Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing.

What You Bring

• No prior cleaning experience required. • Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. • Proficiency in using cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack‑style portable vacuums. • Strong attention to detail, pride in service quality, organizational skills, and high energy/endurance.

Benefits
